Brief Biography
Gibran Khalil Gibran bin Mikhael bin Saad, (Jan 06, 1883 - Apr 10, 1931) was born in Bsharri , Lebanon. He was born to Kamila (his mother) to a third husband, also named Khalil (his father).
His maternal grandfather was a Maronite Catholic priest.

Kamila, with Gibran, and Gibran's younger sisters Mariana and Sultana, and his half-brother Peter left for New York on June 25, 1895.

A few Arab writers have reached a fame that equals Khalil Gibran, author of 'The Prophet'.
